My Project

My students are the youngest in the school and attend my classroom for two mornings a week. We learn through play and have so much fun together, exploring and having lots of opportunities to show off their creativity. One of the ways we do this is through "choice time" centers. My students absolutely love the magnetic builders we have right now; it is a popular play choice. We do have some Magna-Tiles, however, I had no idea there were so many shapes and even car bases that you can build on- so cool!

These Magna-Tiles will give my students a chance to practice STEM skills and as well as social emotional skills (sharing/turn-taking) while they design and build structures as well as make tracks to race the cars on.

I think they will really enjoy the bright colors and the different designs. I look forward to seeing what they construct while playing together!
