I am at a Title I school that have a variety of students. Being Title I, our needs are different from a traditional school. Many of my students have limited opportunities to learn outside of school. 100% of our students qualify for free lunch with some of them living in a halfway house across the street and many others in section 8 housing.
However, with these setbacks, these students come eager and ready to learn every day.
I want to provide them with the best education possible as well as instill a love for learning!
STEM kits promote critical thinking by allowing them to think outside the box and see problems in new ways. Please give my fourth grade math the opportunity to expand their knowledge through discovery.
These extension activities will be used for classroom activities as well as give students an opportunity to explore math, science, and technology and build on their own learning in creative and innovative ways.
This not only allows them to extend their learning on their own but also fosters the love of learning. These kits will give students the ability to collaborate together and build things they can be proud of.
