Our classroom is located in Southeastern Michigan. The first grade students who will begin their school year in my classroom are caring, creative, and eager to learn. They love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to deepen their learning. My students come to school each day ready to learn new information and to create lasting friendships.
Each student in the classroom would love a learning environment that will help enhance their learning.
The learning environment will be a space where the students can actively seek out new information and work collaboratively to find solutions to problems.
My Project
The materials that I choose will give the students an opportunity to engage in STEM activities. The different items such as a magnetic blocks and Legos will give the students the opportunity to use their imaginations to design then engineer their designs.
Stem materials provide students with an opportunity to develop creativity and problem solving skills.
The students will develop creativity to learn how to design different objects that they will then create. The materials will also help with problem solving when student have to reevaluate their designs to be successful when building.
The materials that will be provided will he students engage in science, design and engineering.
