This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My classroom is filled with 13 energetic, creative, loving and unique special education students. My students are constantly exploring their own skills and what they are capable of. They love to learn about new topics especially when they get to complete hands on activities.

My students are constantly surprising me, their parents and themselves in what they are capable in accomplishing!

Their favorite lessons include working on specific skills during centers, science, and learning how to cook on Fridays! I also have some wonderful singers, dancers and story tellers!

My Project

Students in special education always seem to get left out when it comes to exploring topics that aren't functional academics or personal/domestic maintenance skills. This is why allowing my students to be exposed to STEM skills is so important for them! They don't usually get the chance to practice these important skills.

My students are constantly building with any manipulatives I give them.

I have such creative students, that are so interested in STEM topics. All the manipulatives in this project like Magna-Tiles and STEM bundle are designed to help students explore and hone STEM skills. They are bright and designed for easy use! They all provide recommended ways to use the manipulatives, but also allow for creative use as well!
