Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach Special Education Kindergarten. Many of my students have ADHD, autism, and Intellectual disabilities. Science is an abstract group of concepts for language-impaired students that is hard to explain unless we have hands-on learning opportunities. This magnetic board with the roller coaster and other activities will allow us to practice concepts such as cause and effect, and creating and building structures using engineering concepts.

These tools will allow hands-on learning, language development, social skill development, and play-based learning.

Giving my students this opportunity will allow them to attain great things in the world.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
