My students are Michigan area students who come from lower to middle income families. Many students have limited access to normal household settings. Students have a close bond culture in which they interact both in and out of school.
Students thrive with project based learning.
Creating projects and hands on activities really help their critical thinking learning and logical thought process. STEM programs that support creation and the ability to engineer projects make learning fun and exciting. Students want to build, touch, and create.
Students love STEM projects and the chance to create something from their own mind. Students love a classroom where it is not just writing papers or doing math problems on a worksheet. Collaboration and working with partners helps develop them as people and learners.
My Project
Sphero robots are programmable coding machines. These materials will provide a hands on learning experience where students can create a coding program which tells the robots what to do and where to go. These are skills that can transfer into the working force world in careers such as automation tech, robot service technician, and computer programmer. These materials will bring the latest technology to kids hands for a jump start in a technology career.
These Sphero robots can be used to learn code and how robots work and think logically.
Robots are the future of technology and these materials will help students get a great foundation in the technology realm of learning.
