This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This STEM design challenge will allow my diverse student population to learn about engineering and design in science class. This exiting long term project requires teams of students to plan, design and finally create a 13 inch long truss bridge. Their mission is o create the strongest bridge that will hold the most weight. The concepts of tension and compression will be reinforced throughout the bridge build challenge. The students will use binder clips to hold the popsicle sticks together straight while the glue dries. I teach 6 STEM classes and these materials will be shared will all my students.
