My Students

I teach an absolutely amazing group of second graders. I usually have between twenty-two to twenty-eight students in my second-grade class. This school year is going to be very different for us due to COVID. Despite this, I know the second grade will come into second grade excited to learn. As an educator, it is so important for us to keep that spark alive.

Our school has a high population of military families as our school is located down the road from a military base.

Many of the students have had to balance school and home life while having a parent deployed. My students have a pure passion for learning that inspires me to be a better teacher.

My Project

There are so many benefits of using small group learning centers in the classroom. Centers enable students to interact in a relaxed setting and empower them to navigate the learning environment on their own, at their own speed, and in diverse groups.Wooden Toys Tangram Brain Teaser Puzzle Game would be an awesome game for a center!

These brain teaser puzzles will allow students to self-direct as they apply skills and strategies in fun, engaging way.

Wooden Toys Tangram Brain Teaser Puzzle Game have several examples for shapes and things to make with it, each time you mixed up the pieces the puzzle would come out differently. The simple design and bright colors are perfect for sparking any imagination, and it feels great to challenge kids with this tangram jigsaw puzzle but also to just take on an easy challenge that you can complete differently every time. Perfect for times when you or your child just need to calm down or relax. There are different options to play. Solving it themselves helps to keep kids’ brain focused and adds creativity to eye-hand coordination and color & shape recognition. It's better than on screen. These are the perfect center activity!

Kids love to play games and they won't even realize all the learning that is occuring. Centers allow teachers to address the distinct needs of small groups of students while providing meaningful activities to students working independently.
