My Project

Our students are interested in learning about coding, robotics, and other STEM topics. In our media center's maker space, students have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities to support this, but many students also want to read books about coding and other STEM topics. With the information and innovations in STEM-related fields changing so rapidly, we're finding that we don't have enough current books on these topics in our school's media center collection to meet our students' needs and interests.

This project will provide our school's readers with books that will help them to learn about the possibilities and opportunities that are available to all through coding, robotics, and other STEM-related fields as well as provide them with information related to performing coding itself.

We believe that by encouraging their interest in coding and robotics and by helping our students build a solid foundation in computer sciences and other STEM-related topics, we will help to prepare them to be global citizens in the 21st century.
