These supplies have helped to make our library and makerspace are an inviting space for all of our students. The due date labels and label protectors have been used to help us circulate books and Chromebooks and ensure that they are returned. The sign stands have helped us create displays that encourage our readers to discover new books.\r\n\r\nWe circulate many origami books and readers know that we keep origami paper at the circulation desk. Whenever someone checks out an origami book, it's pretty much inevitable that they hold their hand out and ask for paper to take with them to try some of the different projects. The origami paper from this project has allowed us to continue to do this.\r\n\r\nThe supplies for button making have helped us to continue a reading engagement program for fourth and fifth grade. When readers finish one of our state book award nominated books and tell me about it, they get a button custom designed to go with the book's content. I was thrilled that when a student returned Refugee today, he asked me if there were more graphic novels like it by the same author. The same thing happened with students who read Space Race.
