The echo microphone gets a lot of use during our whole group time to encourage greater participation in the form of expressive language. Our students also absolutely love the dancing cactus toy. While many donors are familiar with technology in the home, this classroom technology works by intentionally shaping the learning environment to improve focus, independence, and access to instruction. The desk partitions reduce visual distractions and help students attend to their own work rather than the movement and materials around them. Noise-reducing headphones minimize background sounds during independent work, small-group rotations, and assessments, allowing students to sustain attention for longer periods of time. Organizational tools ensure materials are clearly labeled and easily accessible, reducing lost instructional time and frustration. Together, these tools help students regulate their attention and sensory input so they can fully engage in reading, writing, math, and problem-solving tasks. When students are able to focus and organize their learning space, they complete work more efficiently, build confidence, and demonstrate what they truly know.\r\n\r\nStudents are especially excited about the concentration kit because it gives them ownership over their learning and helps them feel successful. They independently choose when to set up their partition, use headphones, or organize their materials, which promotes self-awareness and responsibility. Many students describe feeling calmer and more prepared to learn when using the kit. Students who struggle with attention, sensory sensitivities, or anxiety show noticeable improvements in focus, stamina, and task completion. Students with executive functioning or fine motor challenges benefit from having materials within reach and a structured workspace that reduces overwhelm. Even students without identified learning needs respond positively, recognizing that everyone benefits from a quiet, organized environment. The concentration kit creates a classroom culture where all learners feel supported, capable, and motivated to do their best work, making it an impactful and meaningful investment in student success.","fullyFundedDate":1765664773539,"projectUrl":"project/concentration-success-kit/9956399/","projectTitle":"Concentration Success Kit!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Moradel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10346108_orig.png?crop=1024,1024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762571322324","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/missmoradel"},{"teacherId":8907541,"projectId":9886118,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting this project for our school's community of readers. These new books centering inventors, innovators, and science and mathematics content have generated so much excitement! As soon as they hit the shelves, readers started to check them out to read and enjoy. We have a number of biography fans and they were especially interested in the books about the female astronauts. Along with the arrival of winter weather, The Power of Snow has been especially popular. And, I had a first grader specifically ask for a book about black holes, so he was thrilled to take This Book Is Full of Holes home with him.\r\n\r\nThese books will also directly support and supplement content instruction for our readers. They love to borrow books that match what they're learning about in their classrooms! Our fourth graders will be starting their unit on inventors shortly and the books about kid inventors, Jacques Cousteau, and Hedy Lamarr will help them to take a deep dive into the thinking of inventors. Second graders will be studying aviators, so the book about Mary Myers will be a perfect fit to help build knowledge.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping to provide our readers with books that will help them to grow as readers, thinkers, and creators as they build their knowledge about STEM topics.","fullyFundedDate":1763405419825,"projectUrl":"project/stem-stories/9886118/","projectTitle":"STEM Stories","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tecler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-tecler"},{"teacherId":8907541,"projectId":9818716,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting this project for our school's community of readers.
