My Students

My students love to learn in a fun, engaging, and meaningful setting! I teach in a district that has a high desire to challenge our students to be the best they can be. My fourth graders rise up to the challenge every day and enjoy learning while having fun. In my classroom, students strive to not only to be excellent students, but also to be role models in our community.

Learning should be fun, and we have a lot of fun in our classroom!

Our room is comprised of 30 learners and leaders (this includes me). My students are incredible learners and even better leaders. Their professional development goal for me this year was to teach me how to "Floss." It took me months to "master" it, and they never one time gave up on teaching me, just like they know I will never give up on believing in them!

My Project

Students need to learn through exploration and play in the classroom. STEM bins spark imagination and creativity allowing kids to think outside the box, and gives them the skills in problem solving which can be applied to real life.

STEM bins will challenge students to think in new ways and give them opportunity to create.

Kids want to play, they want to explore, they want time to do science, technology, engineering, and math - and they don't want to do it out of a book. I have the perfect 30 minute time slot to allow students to engage in STEM bins if they choose. The bins I am requesting include 22 different manipulatives and have countless benefits. I am thrilled to offer these in the classroom so my kids can learn through exploration.
