STEM 3D Printing

Help me give my students the opportunity to explore the magical world of 3d printing and create their own projects and see them come to life. It will motivate students to learn STEM.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As my students walk in the door daily, I am greeted by their happy eager faces and a warm hello. They come to school with smiles on their faces most days, and some days, their home lives show on their faces. I want to ensure that they have the best educational experience I can give them during their time with me.

My students are joyful, curious, and their hardships do not define them.

I work in a Title I-funded school in California where 97% of the students receive free breakfast, lunch, and backpacks full of food to take home over the weekend. My students still come to school ready to learn and take on the world!

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students are very valuable to their learning of STEM. My students are from a Title 1 school, were everyone receives a free lunch and the vast majority of my students are English Language Learners. These experiences are crucial in that they impact their lives and create lifelong learners by piquing their interest in STEM. We just need your help in getting everything started for them! The 3d printer will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as the focal point in our STEM lessons. The filament supplies will be used by the students, so that they may create their own 3d printed projects.

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of STEM and competency in authentic, meaningful hands-on learning of science.

By implementing the use of the 3D printer, my students will begin to see themselves as true scholars in the STEM disciplines. We will use these materials to aid us in the process of becoming life-long scholars. As the teacher, I have researched the best way of implementing this learning and created lesson plans to aid in their learning. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
