Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class of students consist of children of various backgrounds and various learning styles and abilities. While some may be mature enough to sit still and listen to learn, others are more of a challenge to capture their attention. I love the enthusiasm my class has to work with classmates on projects. That’s where hands-on learning works with my kiddos. I love to watch my students being creative while they discover where their minds can take them. Children’s minds need to be stimulated. They should be allowed to explore and expand their thinking by using different toys, materials along with the freedom to be creatively messy.

My Project

Children need to learn through play. With these magnificent building sets, children can use critical thinking skills to become creative thinkers while having fun at the same time.

Journal writing, drawing skills will also be incorporated to allow children to multi-task in their center work.

This tools allow child to use collaboration skills while working in others as a team. This is an important life time skill they will carry with them through life.

As an adult, I am able to look back on my education and see how my educational experience would have benefited by such creative teaching with STEM tools.
