Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love learning! They enjoy learning through play or hands-on activities. We would like to get more magnetic blocks like the Build Mine Magnet World Set. Students have loved the previously donated set of magnetic cubes. We have used these blocks to learn about area and perimeter. We also use these for STEAM activities to build walls, design 3D models of buildings, and so much more. The pencil pouches will keep student materials in one easily accessible place. The magnets and tissue paper will help support art and science activities throughout the year. The Bluetooth speaker will allow me to share the sound from our projected videos in a clear manner. All students will be able to listen to our science lessons, read-alouds in our reading programs, and any other presentations we use throughout the day. Students will be able to take notes and learn as they listen to information through high quality sound. These Kinazium construction sets will allow students to build walls, ramps, and any other courses students see fit. They will engage in the engineering design process and code their Sphero robots to travel and roll along their engineered path. The button maker machine will help students create buttons that may relate to topics we are covering in class.
