My students need these essential supplies like crayons to aid in our STEM-related activities. My science class is very hands-on, and students from kindergarten to 5th grade visit daily. Supplies are very limited!
I teach physical, earth, and life science to approximately 500 multicultural students (grades K-5) in a public school in Philadelphia. Many of my students are underprivileged. I also service a large group of students with special needs, which are included in the regular ed science classes.
My students love working with hands on experiments in science class.
We are learning how science impacts on our daily life. Our school is trying to establish a STEM program to give students the opportunity to engage in science and technology. We are in desperate need of materials to do this. A projector is just one of the many tools that would benefit this objective.
My students will benefit from your help!
My Project
The basic supplies that I am requesting are to help with my STEM related lessons in my science class. I currently teach science to kindergarten through fifth grade. Students are often asked to create in my classroom. Crayons, scissors, glue sticks and a pencil sharpener will help expand their minds and create science themed activities. Students can draw an example of the water cycle, create habitats that different animals live in, or design circuits and later try them out.
My students greatly appreciate any help we can get and look forward to using these supplies that are essential for our growth as learners!
