This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have worked hard throughout their school careers in order to get into the STEM program. I am working very hard to meet all of their varying needs. These students are creative, hard-working, and very inquisitive. I want to give them the best possible educational experience, so that these children will continue to work towards, and in, the STEM path. My students have a variety of interests and will be given the opportunity to explore and grow throughout the year.

My Project

Currently, I am using an old desktop computer to help guide and teach my STEAM students pursue avenues of technology. I would like to be able to properly demonstrate technology and different applications with a decent laptop. Once I have access to this, I want to use the raspberry pi kits to give students real world, hands on experience of building a computer, programming it, and assigning it tasks to complete for our class. This cannot be done without a serious upgrade. With your donation, I can actually get the T back into my STEAM program and make their learning meaningful.
