Thanks to your incredible generosity through DonorsChoose, our students have had meaningful hands-on learning experiences that they will remember for years to come.\r\n\r\nStudents have carefully cared for vegetables including cauliflower, rainbow chard, green onions, rainbow carrots, and strawberries. Watching the garden grow has allowed students to observe plant life cycles firsthand while learning responsibility, teamwork, and sustainable gardening practices.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, we were also able to add several exciting new features to our garden this spring! One of our favorite additions is a Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. Students planted milkweed, zinnias, and wildflowers to attract monarch butterflies and other important pollinators. This project sparked wonderful conversations about ecosystems, pollination, and protecting wildlife habitats.\r\n\r\nOur students also created a beautiful herb garden filled with rosemary, lemon balm, chamomile, mint, lavender, and echinacea. As the herbs continue to grow, students are exploring how herbs can be used in cooking, teas, and natural remedies.\r\n\r\nIn addition, students designed two creative garden spaces: a cucumber teepee garden with climbing cucumbers and a fun pizza garden featuring tomatoes, basil, and bell peppers. These projects have made learning exciting, interactive, and memorable for our students.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided opportunities for our students to learn through exploration, creativity, and hands-on discovery.
