My Students

As a teacher in a rural Kansas classroom, our students do not get the opportunities to use up-to-date technology. These students have a strong desire to try all of the new technology that is out there, and I want to do everything in my power to bring this to my classroom.

My students want to learn using hands-on experience and the latest technology.

Students take pride in creating and discovering in my classroom, and they will be able to use this knowledge now and in the future.

My Project

My students are working hard trying to stay up with technology and it's capabilities. The sphero ball will allow all the sixth grade students to program by drawing, driving, block coding, or even using JavaScript.

These sphero balls will be used by three sixth grade classrooms for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics activities.

This will give the students the opportunity to work cooperatively and utilize peer knowledge, as well as, investigative learning to elevate their computer programming skills.

This project will not only benefit my current students, but it will also benefit all sixth grade students for years to come.
