North Lawn Elementary students are very diversified learners. This project will allow students to work at a very basic level of programming by driving or drawing a program, then work their way up to block programming and then JavaScript. This project enables all students to participate and develop at their own pace. The students are using STEAM projects to enhance their education and work outside of their textbooks. It is very important for the students to have the opportunity to utilize a variety of technology to develop their critical thinking, cooperative learning, problem solving, and application skills. Living in a rural area limits a students ability to see what new technology is available, as well as, understanding the job opportunities that arise for students with strong technological skills. These students deserve every opportunity we can provide for them to compete in a world of technology.
