Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In this lesson, students will use their STEAM knowledge to design a math centered escape room. They will work in small groups to plan and create escape room style puzzles that are math focused.

We will use Common Core Math Standards but make it fun!

We need locks and boxes to hide clues in. We need blacklight pens to create clues. The yarn will help create puzzles. Using a variety of numbers, braille, and letter puzzle locks will make this escape room interesting for all students.

This will build upon our previous STEAM projects with a focus on collaboration, teamwork, engineering design and good communication.

I predict this will be both fun to create for the students and equally as competitive to test out each other's ideas.
