Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a teacher in a Title I elementary school, I find myself not providing the vital tools for all my learners. More than seventy percent of our campus receives free or reduced-priced lunch, and a lot of my students don't have access to enrichment opportunities outside of the classroom. My inquisitive, active learners are constantly reaching out to build their knowledge for a successful future.
Although we live in an era where technology has become a necessary component for our students in education today, it is still important that our students are allowed to express themselves through art and hands-on learning.
The pencil pouches and folders will help my students organize their science materials and add less trash to the environment. Students will be able to independently access the pencil sharpener to continue learning without disrupting the lessons. We will use the canvas boards to create art projects to show how students can preserve Earth.
