Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The MHS STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) signature program is working to create an outdoor learning center/classroom to give students more hands-on scientific experiences.

The outdoor learning classroom will allow students to fine-tune STEAM learner profile attributes, including think critically, solve problems creatively, investigate thoroughly, and collaborate strategically.

This space currently consists of a raised bed garden area. However, purchasing the tables will allow for comfortable strategic peer collaboration while completing tasks and experiments.

This project will definitely give these STEAM innovators of tomorrow a unique learning experience as they think critically, solve problems creatively, investigate thoroughly, and collaborate strategically in their outdoor learning classroom.
