This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to provide my students with a strong foundation in STEAM education.

The TeachersPayTeachers gift card would allow me to purchase some amazing STEAM resources and curriculum that would help engage my students, especially my female students, in science, tech, engineering, art, math activities, and ELA that involves STEAM concepts! I have many STEAM resources on my wishlist that would help my transitional kindergartners work collaboratively and build upon their imaginations, creativity, and engineering skills. Their minds would benefit greatly from exploring, planning, building, and creating masterfully engineered creations!

STEAM resources/activities would also help all my students improve their fine motor development, cognitive development, space, shapes, teamwork, artistic abilities, sensory skills, practical ability, imagination, and creativity! These are real-world skills my transitional kindergartners need as preparation for their futures in STEAM as they explore the skills of engineers, zoologists, doctors, mathematicians, nurses, technologists, computer engineers, astronauts, scientists, etc. 4-5 year-olds are naturally inquisitive and love to explore. I can just imagine the learning and engaging opportunities these STEAM resources would bring to a class full of diverse learners as well my English learners, students with disabilities, and future newcomer students.
