Help me give my students science equipment that is built with them in mind. These science materials are meant for their smaller hands and will be great to help them explore all topics.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a unique blend of amazing transitional kindergarten students. They are bright, enthusiastic learners and rise to any challenge I present to them. I have a diverse group, even though we are a small group. 1/3 of my class is comprised of English Language Learners and I have about 1/4 of my class with special needs. With so many different learners in my classroom, I am constantly finding new ways to engage them.
All of my students have a passion for learning that I'm happy to encourage!
My Project
A solid foundation for learning begins in the early childhood education setting. I strive to give my young learners the opportunity for open ended experiments filled with thoughtful conversations and questions.
The materials I am requesting will help me ensure that the students are able to conduct their experiments themselves.
By ensuring that the students are able to manipulate the items, it will provide them with meaningful hands on experiences. Additionally, I am requesting a few materials needed for our makerspace area. The tape will be used by the students; I will be using the corrugated cutter to cut cardboard into different sizes for the students so that they may have the freedom to create whatever comes to mind.
