Help me give my students STEAM bags for at-home learning and books for STEAM challenges. We are hybrid learning, so I want to provide materials for learning at home or at school.

My Students

This is my third year at my school and I love the excitement that students have for reading, learning, and hands-on activities! I am blown away by the love my students have for learning!

My students are excited and eager to complete hands-on activities.

This year involves finding creative ways to carry out those activities but I know my students will be excited to build, learn and explore these activities!

We are in a rural area with a diverse group of students. We are about an hour for our state's capital and the Research Triangle Park. STEM careers will be very important to my students one day! I want to help them develop their skills and love of STEM now to help with their future!

My Project

Last year was my first year teaching STEM/STEAM classes to my entire school as part of the Specials rotation. Often we would read a picture book and then the students would solve a problem or a challenge, based on the book, using materials that I provided.

I want my students to be able to do STEAM projects at home while we are in the hybrid model.

Currently, we have an A Day cohort, a B Day cohort and students are staying virtual. I need to be able to make sure that all students have equal access to materials and these STEAM bags will do that.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
