My Students

My kindergartners are very creative and are such little sponges. They love to learn and it is so exciting to see their faces light up when they master new concepts. They get so engaged in stories and absolutely love being read to, this has also lead to great writing. My students also love problem solving together. It is so fun to see them work together and listen to each others ideas. Kindergarten is the best age group! It is amazing to see their growth over the year. They make me smile everyday!

My Project

My students have been using STEM toys to work together. I give them time in the morning to build, create and problem solve. I believe this is their favorite part of the day and I love that it gives them a chance to work on their social skills. I would love to incorporate this learning during literacy. Our day is so full and their isn't a lot of time for play. Children learn through play and they need it. This kit will give them an opportunity to play and use problem solving skills with popular fairy tales. Through this extension I am excited to also build on their comprehension.
