Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love creating with LEGO bricks. LEGOs can be a fun and educational way to develop many skills needed for life.

These kits open up connections to creative storytelling and technology.

The following of instructions, deciphering order and location of the bricks, helps our students develop their mathematical skills/spatial awareness. The dollhouse and Hot Wheels set will be part of our pretend play learning. These are foundational skills that demands creative thinking, persistence, and an ability to imagine things in a whole new way. The Playstation 5 and Xbox will be used for our Fun Fridays. Video games have improved attention skills, brain processing, eye-hand coordination, and cognitive functions. We will also host family gaming events as well. Please consider helping us fund this project. The LEGO kits will be showcased in our annual STEM to STEAM Expo. This will be one of many community events held at our school. Our population consists of students with disabilities, as well as English language learners (ELL).
