My Project

My sixth-grade students are energetic, curious, and eager to learn mathematics. Many benefit from safe opportunities to move while working. In traditional classroom chairs, some students frequently lean back or struggle to maintain a safe, comfortable seated position. This can create distractions and increase the risk of a student falling.

Wobble chairs and exercise-ball seating will provide flexible alternatives that allow students to engage in controlled movement while remaining at their workstations.

These resources will help students practice making responsible seating choices, manage their physical energy, and stay engaged during lessons and independent work.

By supporting different seating needs, this project will help create a safer, more focused, and inclusive math classroom. Students will be able to direct more of their attention toward problem-solving, collaboration, and academic growth while developing the self-management skills expected in a professional learning environment.
