Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have been in quarantine and involved in distance learning for quite some time, and I’d like to commend them for staying safe at home and doing their very best with their new norm.

When I think of how hard it’s been for me, I stop to think how much harder this has been for my students and their families.

In spite of this pandemic, my little first graders have stepped it up and are doing their best to complete all of their online assignments and participate in our daily Zoom lessons. My students are resilient, determined, and hopeful for a brighter day, and I know they’re counting the days to be back in a classroom learning and socializing with their friends and classmates.

My Project

We all know we are living in difficult times and my little first graders are living their new norm as best they can. While they are learning from home, they still have to be out at times with their parents and or traveling to day care to school campuses or to a relatives home. I’d like to make sure they have what they need when leaving their home. With winter soon approaching I am also requesting warm gloves to keep their hands nice and warm.

Staying safe is so important and covering up with these face masks and gloves will help them remain healthy and stay focused in their academics.

Although this project might seem simple, it will go a long way with many families. We know many are currently without jobs and any little help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read our project and possibly donating to it. Happy holidays!
