My Project
I love teaching first grade for many reasons. One of these is that these kids are endlessly energetic. This means they are also endlessly wiggly, and it is often hard for them to stay seated in the same spot.
Lap desks allow for wiggly learners to move as needed to stay focused and still have a surface for working.
Students often just need a change of location or body position to maintain focus and promote stamina. Having the option of getting a lap desk to set up their work in another spot, helps many kids stay on task.
