Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is an older building that needs many improvements to keep up with the times. This campus is over 50 years old and has many needs to be addressed.

I work in a Title I school, which means that we have limited funding, which is why I try to find new ways to get materials and maintain them in good condition for daily use.

These materials will help us have the necessary tools in order for our students to be successful.

The students in this school are English Language Learners that are from a low socioeconomic area. They come to us eager to learn but they may not have the means to get the supplies they need for school.

My Project

My students are not likely to get proper medical care due to their low socioeconomic status. We have seen a dramatic rise on cases throughout the state in the last couple of weeks. We have no mask mandates in Texas and the infection and transmission rates keep increasing. We are in red numbers and both staff and students are getting sick at our campus. Please help us stay healthy by having access to these masks that will decrease our chances of getting sick. We would be eternally grateful for your generosity.
