Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My amazing first grade students are bright, motivated, and one-of-a-kind individuals. They put a smile on my face each and every day, and they all enjoy coming to school and succeeding in the classroom. I feel so blessed to be their special education teacher, and I am lucky to work in such a rewarding field.

If this project were funded the children would have access to materials that will help them be successful at school.

We will use the items to enhance our fine motor skills during morning stations, keep our room clean and organized, and keep our bellies full and ready to learn. The students won't have to worry about not bringing a snack to school when we have a variety of snacks to choose from available in our classroom. The cleaning supplies will be used throughout the day to clean and sanitize desks and tables before and after meals, and wipe up any messes we create as we are learning. The puzzles and Legos will be used during our fine motor morning stations to increase our fine motor and visual and spatial perception skills.

This project will make a difference to my students because they will have access to everyday items that make learning easier, more fun, and worry free. They will not have to worry about not having materials and there will be no reason for them not to be successful! We greatly appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness. Please know that the positive impact you are making on a child's education does not go unnoticed!
