My Students

I have 56 wonderful and smart second grade students. They are in a dual immersion program, so they spend half the day with me, and the other half of the day my co-teacher from Spain. They speak only English in my class, and only Spanish with my co-teacher. They are brilliant and full of energy. They are eager to learn and love creating new things. They work hard every single day, and are constantly impressing me by how well they are able to pick up routines and learn new material. They are definitely a special bunch.

My Project

I want to start the year right with items to help students throughout the year! The first and largest part of my project is books to introduce students to skills they need to learn at the beginning of the year. These will help them become familiar with norms in a fun, exciting, and engaging way.

I also need replacement headphones for students.

I have a classroom set, but throughout the last few years many have broken, and all students don't have the headphones they need to use technology independently in the classroom.

Last, I am asking for sensory toys and skin colored crayons to help students who need a little break and to make sure all students feel included and represented.
