Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project goal is to provide my students with the materials, snacks and incentives they need in order to thrive and address their specific special needs. My students come to school on a daily basis ready and eager to learn, however many of them lack the basic school supplies and items needed in order to accomplish their objectives. Many of them also come to school hungry and although they receive free breakfast and lunch, they can use some snacks between meals and on their way home. I wish to provide my students with a fun, inspirational learning environment (decorated by the school themed hanging lanters), basic supplies, incentives, stress toys, snacks and plates/utensils.

Basic classroom supplies are essential in a classroom in order to promote a successful academic environment.

Many of my students lack basic school supplies that are essential to complete daily class assignments, improve studying skills, produce classroom projects, and enrich their minds academically. Having the right supplies and materials is essential. When it comes to my classroom, the smallest details make the biggest difference. By having the necessary supplies, incentives and snacks, my students will be able to excel academically, address their specific special needs and will increase their studying skills. In all, the requested items will allow all students to stay mentally health and actively engaged in their learning as they focus on the task at hand.
