My Project

My students are an incredibly diverse group whose roots represent all corners of the world: Iceland, Japan, Ethiopia, France, Morocco, Guatemala, Peru, and on. These curious, opinionated thinkers are actively growing their sense of self, as well as a deep empathy for others. As a 6th grade teacher, my responsibility is to guide my students through their transition to middle school--covering everything from effective note-taking strategies to building new friendships. We simply cannot make it without essential classroom materials, and that is where your treasured donations come in.

My classroom is a space where students can explore what it means to be human in every sense of the word- a place to think deeply, make mistakes, engage in critical discussions, write passionately, and connect with books that matter.

Students deserve an environment like this as they evolve from children to young adults. To make the space functional, my students need access to basic supplies such as notebooks, binders, pencils, and markers. Your generous donations allow me to use exceptional materials to prepare a responsive, productive space for next year's students. Because of you, nearly 100 students will start middle school strong.
