I have 22 little first-grade students who are hardworking, caring, and eager to learn. We are one of many first-grade classes in our small but growing district.
We are always thinking of new ways to explore and be creative.
We love using technology and mixing it into our daily routines. We just can't get enough of hands on learning!
We are so excited at the thought of new technology in our classrooms and the possibilities of what we will be able to learn through exploration! I teach at a Title I school which means that many of my students qualify for free or reduced priced lunches.
These materials will help our first graders get started with experimenting in a makerspace, an area in which students can learn through creativity and exploration independently and collaboratively. All of these products can help the students explore parts of our curriculum and expand their learning creatively.
Our classroom will be able to experiment regularly and express creativity with hands on materials and technology.
Not only will students in the classroom be able to use these materials regularly but also students in the building, families and members of the community, as a public MakersNight will be held in the fall; in which these materials will be used at.
