My Project

Each year, I kick off 5th grade with Because of Mr. Terupt—a powerful and engaging novel that helps build classroom community, encourages thoughtful discussions, and sparks a love of reading. This story helps students connect with characters, understand different perspectives, and reflect on their own experiences. Having a class set means every student can follow along with their own copy, which supports deeper comprehension and vocabulary growth. With your support, we can provide a meaningful shared reading experience that sets a strong foundation for students' reading success all year long.
