Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every day, I have the pleasure of teaching 55 8th grade students. Some of my students are English Language Learners and some have Learning Disabilities. You would never know it though, because they are creative and hardworking individuals. My students are eager to learn new things and are motivated to do their very best.
My school is a Title I school and a majority of the students receive free or reduced lunch.
Extra money for school supplies is not always available. These families work hard and their children deserve to have the supplies they need for school.
My Project
My project will provide the necessary school supplies my students need for everyday instruction in my classroom. My classroom is centered around standards-based instruction. I challenge my students everyday to do their very best and I want to make sure they have the necessary supplies to be successful.
Help me set my students up for success.
Every student in my classroom will use their own whiteboards with markers to record their answers for quick response activities. The composition journals will be used to set individual goals and track student progress. Students will use the pencils for project-based learning.
All of these school supplies will help my students be prepared for my class and motivate them to do well.
