Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For many of my students the learning experience requires more than simple textbooks and power points. My students learn best through hands on exploration. Many of my students relate better to content when it is in the form of something relatable or interesting to them. The items I am asking for will turn the normal classroom setting into a fun setting they can all relate to, Starbucks!

Students will be given task that involve the use and practice of both ELA and mathematics based Florida Benchmarks.

Students will be able to utilize fun and learn through play. Not only will this activity build and reinforce content they have been practicing throughout the year it will also build and improve social interactions among peers.

Students will be able to use the Starbucks themed items to explore and reinforce content. Students will be able to use the decor to get a better understanding of the work environment and what it means to work as a team. Finally students will be rewarded for their hard work with a sweet treat of hot chocolate!
