This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Promote volunteerism while ensuring safety! These kids love to help.

I have 30 Kindergarten students and they love to be helpful.

They are always visiting me after school with their parents and wanting to know if they can help. I love it. My students and their parents help me put together our homework packets, parent letters, field trip information and much more. What a great bunch!

My Project

Our classroom needs two electric staplers to make it easier for my little volunteers to help with stapling our various take-home packets. The manual staplers we have are old, barely functioning, and hard for little hands to handle. My students really want to help with the stapling but they can not quite get it down.

Volunteering is an important character trait to develop and I think it is great that I've got an inspiring group of students who want to help.

They have brought parents and other family members into the fold and we love discussing what we can do next. I would love to make it easier for everyone involved.
