Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are enthusiastic, eager to learn and ready to perform! I work with beginning band and string students in 4th-5th grade at Deerfield Run Elementary. We are fortunate to have some good quality music stands to use during rehearsals however transportation is difficult during performances. Each individual stand has to be moved separately to the performance location.

With your donation, music stands will be transported easily on a storage cart (dolly) so concert set up can be efficient and more practical.

It has been almost 3 years since there has been a concert performance at my school due to Covid and Virtual Learning in the past. We are looking forward to resuming performances this month and will be working on one for the spring. A music stand storage cart/dolly will great benefit the music education program for years to come!
