My Students

My students come from diverse backgrounds and live in a city that is constantly changing. Every day, students struggle to comprehend the world around them and how they can be active participants.

They love to learn about their world, how it changes, what history teaches us all about the present, and how they can be active participants as young adults who are interested in social justice topics.

Students work hard every day to increase their understanding of history and how they fit into the world around them. We are always working toward increasing our understanding of each other, history, and how those topics are still relevant today.

My Project

These standing desks allow my classroom to remain a place of engaged learners where all students can be successful. My classroom is meant to operate as a community, and a community works best when it is inclusive of all. There are many different learning styles that students possess and standing desks support this community-building goal.

Standing desks provide kinesthetic learners with the opportunity to move while they learn.

I want to be sure students have everything they need to succeed. My goal as an educator is to provide my students a caring, safe, effective, and engaging classroom. Please help me with working toward that goal.
