My Students
My students love to be in my classroom because it is a lively place full of games, exploration, and fun. Last year, my students ventured to outer space through a room transformation. They worked hard to solve math problems that helped them to return to Earth safely. We prepared for our state test by completing glow in the dark math stations. We danced to our theme song, "Champion" by Carrie Underwood and dressed up as champions for a day, complete with medals around our necks.
My students are champions!
They have so much grit and determination. They accept every challenge I throw their way. I learn from them, just as much as they learn from me.
My Project
My students excel in our flexible seating classroom. However, my students need more choices. We currently have stability ball chairs, wobble stools, wobble cushions, and floor seats.
We need standing desks.
I have several students that love to stand up while they are working and would truly benefit from the use of the kick bar on this standing desk. Research has proven that the student brain retains more if they are able to exercise throughout the day and if movement is incorporated into their learning. The kick bar on the standing desk is just one way that it would allow movement.
