Standing Increases Learning

Help me give my students options for standing while learning! The rolling stand-up desk offers a mobile option for standing, while the lap desks can be used in my classroom as well as the general education classroom!

My Project

We know that students sit a lot these days in class, and we also know that many teachers are offering a variety of seating options to help with wiggles and options for students.

Did you know you learn 10% more just by standing!

This allows for oxygen to reach and activate the brain! The brain is fueled by oxygen, and when we sit all day, the brain likes to nap. By allowing students movement breaks and opportunities to stand, the brain remains more active throughout the day, increasing optimal learning.

Many of my students prefer to stand at times. The rolling standing desk will be perfect for my classroom, while the folding table-top versions will be great for both my classroom as well as the general education classroom. I have some students who just need to stand in order to release some energy, but I have also seen students maintain a higher level of focus on testing when they are given the opportunity to stand. They can sway, one even danced, stand on a balance board, or just feel free to move. These standing-desk options will offer various opportunities for learning and test-taking!
