This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Special Education Teacher, I use flexible seating for my students on a a daily basis to help with their productivity. As of right now all I have are different options for sitting while working.

Several of my students would benefit from having access to standing desks to use to complete their school work.

I have had several students throughout my 4 years of teaching ask for the option to stand while they work rather than sit. The current desks I have do not allow my students to easily and comfortably do that. Having access to standing desk to use as a flexible seating option would be amazing for the students who need a break from sitting all day. It will also hopefully increase their productivity.
