This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from a low-income community facing many obstacles to obtaining the necessary tools for their daily learning. Our classroom has active scholars who need many breaks during class time. The standing desks will make active learners feel safe and productive without feeling like a nuisance.
The standing desks requested will be placed in sections around the classroom so students can also collaborate in a group while standing up in math and science lessons.
Also, the standing desks will allow students who need to stand constantly during lessons to stretch their bodies and stay focused. My students will well receive this furnishing.
We hope to get these essential items for our classroom soon!
