This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in my classroom come to school with unique experiences. They come from diverse backgrounds and are energetic, curious, and caring. I teach at a high-poverty school where many students face challenges ranging from the effects of trauma to being homeless, with most students lacking basic supplies for learning.

My class consists of amazing students and despite adversities, they love to learn and are eager for new experiences each day!

Despite many challenges, each student is so excited to learn and is ready to discover new things!

I would like to provide my class with a choice to access an adjustable height work station, to accommodate students who may need the option to stand or sit during learning.

When giving the students in my class the option to use a standing workstation desk, they will be able to remain with our group, without disturbing the rest of the students learning. In this way, they can get the break and stretch they might need in a less distracting way.
