My students need reliable music stands to hold their music and other materials and complete our classroom set!

Teaching middle school band is such an exciting job! Unlike many other middle grade teachers, I get to start my students in sixth grade, many of whom have never learned to read music or play an instrument and see their progress each year through eighth grade.
A music classroom is also special in that every student has an opportunity to be successful, regardless of their ability to comprehend long passages of literature or complete complex math problems.
My students have worked incredibly hard this year and have grown so much as musicians. I am excited to see where their hard work will take them in the coming years!
Music stands are used in band class daily! Students utilize music stands to hold their method books, sheet music, metronomes, tuners, etc. Music stands encourage students to sit up with their very best posture. In band, good posture is critical because it allows students to breathe more efficiently, which is necessary when playing wind instruments.
Currently, my students use music stands that are in many cases unstable or broken due to the extended amount of time they have been in use at my school.
Students are constantly searching for a stand that works, only to realize halfway through class that it is not in operational condition. New music stands would be a great addition to our classroom for the students!
