Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very active, inquisitive, and curious, and they show an enthusiasm for learning new things. They take risks in their learning each day and are brave enough to accept their mistakes as part of the learning process.
My students are very bright, sweet, and hungry for knowledge.
They are very creative and love opportunities to explore their imagination. I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. I want them to find learning fun as they engage in hands-on activities.
My Project
In kindergarten, we do a lot of fine motor activities to help strengthen muscles in thumbs and fingers. My project not only helps with fine motor skills but it will also support literacy concepts. My students will be able to use the stamp sets to find missing letters for each word/picture. Students can even use the letter and number stamps on playdoh. Using stamps provides self-expression and encourages children to be creative while expressing themselves. This is a great way for students to develop their fine motor skills while developing their literacy skills.
In addition, stamping fosters mental health by enabling a child to show success and accomplishment, as well as their individual uniqueness.
Please help me add a variety of stamp sets to my classroom which will help keep my students engaged and keep learning fun!
