Stained Glass Basics for High Schoolers and Plexiglass for Elementary

My Project

I have recently learned the basics of making stained glass artwork, and I am excited to share this experience with all of my students. I am going to teach my High School students to make a piece of stained glass.

I am going to teach my Elementary art students to make a fake piece of stained glass using plexiglass and recycled and reclaimed inks from magazines and calendars.

This is going to be a super enriching experience for all of my students. I would like to then create a school-wide art installation using these pieces of glass to create a colorful play of light at the front of the school building.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
